Although Ivo Müller graduated in Law from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, his passion for acting began during middle school. After completing his degree, he chose to pursue his artistic passion and dedicate himself to acting.
2. What are some of Ivo Müller’s most notable works?
Ivo Müller is recognized for his roles in various films and TV series, including the critically acclaimed Portuguese film Tabu (2012), which won awards at the Berlin Film Festival, and the Brazilian biopic Hebe: A Estrela do Brasil (2019), where he portrayed a hairdresser with AIDS. He also appeared in the series As Aventuras de Poliana (SBT) and Passport to Freedom (Globo/Sony/Amazon).
3. Does Ivo Müller work in other roles within the arts?
Yes, in addition to acting, Ivo is a producer and theater teacher. About the Rilke Project
4. What is the Rilke Project?
The Rilke Project is a solo endeavor by Ivo Müller that explores the works of poet Rainer Maria Rilke through performance. The project began in 2010 with Letters to a Young Poet, inspired by Rilke’s correspondence with an aspiring writer. In 2018, Ivo developed a new version of the play, titled simply RILKE, with a minimalist approach.
5. What are the different versions of the Rilke Project?
There are three main versions of the Rilke Project:
- Letters to a Young Poet (2010–2014): This version featured puppets on stage and was performed in São Paulo and other Brazilian cities.
- RILKE (2018–2022): A minimalist version focusing on the actor, a table, and envelopes.
- RILKE Online (2020): An adaptation for online platforms during the pandemic, presented via Instagram and Zoom.
